JOB SUMMARY

Lead and represent quality initiatives for New Product Introductions (NPI) within both manufacturing and engineering environments in the powersports industry. This role is responsible for driving the development and implementation of product quality systems, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-performance, high-quality products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Champion a culture of safety and quality throughout NPI programs and the full product development lifecycle.
  • Define, review, and implement quality standards, including FMEAs, inspection methods, control plans, and process control procedures to ensure product compliance with specifications.
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions through design or process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Sourcing teams to establish inspection standards, resolve supplier quality issues, and support procurement of materials and components.
  • Analyze warranty claims and customer complaints to identify trends and drive quality improvements in both design and manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to align on quality goals, promote continuous improvement, and meet program targets.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in automotive, powersports, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional project teams (people management experience is a plus but not required).
  • Advanced knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, ISO standards, and metrology.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles such as value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, and standard work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and coach technical teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed in office, engineering lab, and manufacturing environments.
  • Travel up to 25%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.

The pay range for Minnesota is $115,000 to $144,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
