The Director of HR Technology is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the HR technology roadmap in close partnership with the CHRO and the HR Senior Leadership Team. This role oversees the technical and strategic management of Maker’s Pride’s HR systems, with a primary focus on Ceridian Dayforce, and leads the relationship with key technology vendors and managed service partners. The Director will drive innovation, ensure operational excellence, and enable data-driven decision-making across the HR function.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CHRO and HR Senior Leadership Team, aligning HR technology initiatives with organizational goals and workforce strategies.
- Lead the development and execution of a multi-year HR technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, compliance, and innovation.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR Business Partners to identify opportunities for process optimization and digital transformation.
- Performs and coordinates business systems analysis, configuration, and development activities individually as well as with other internal staff and external support vendors dedicated to Dayforce
- Directs technical and functional teams, both internal and external, in the areas of project management scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for selecting, managing and implementing acceptable applications and systems.
- Demonstrates superior analytical and organizational skills and an in-depth functional knowledge in the HR processes and HR related system(s) in use.
- Demonstrates experience in all or most of the following Dayforce modules: HR Management, Workforce Management, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, Compensation, Reporting & Analytics, Dayforce Wallet, and Experience Hub
- Build partnerships with HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Learning and Development and HRBPs and gain a strong understanding regarding their HR technology and data analytics requirements.
- Provide perspective on HR processes as requested (i.e., performance evaluations, compensations, open enrollments, surveys, etc.).
- Develop expert understanding of the functionality, features and applications to support and assist all system users.
- Troubleshoot problems, optimize technology and systems functionality and optimize interfacing with the other support teams (HR, Operations, IT & Finance).
Job Dutiesmay include, but are not limited to the following:
Technology & Vendor Management
- Own the strategic and technical oversight of Ceridian Dayforce, ensuring it meets evolving business needs across modules including Payroll, Workforce Management, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, and Analytics.
- Manage the relationship with Ceridian as a strategic vendor, including contract negotiations, service level agreements, and roadmap alignment.
- Oversee the performance and delivery of a managed service partner supporting Dayforce, ensuring high-quality service and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor a team of HRIS and data analytics professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Operate in a “player/coach” capacity, providing hands-on support for complex system configurations, integrations, and data governance.
- Direct cross-functional project teams and external consultants in the delivery of HR technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and business outcomes.
Data & Analytics Enablement
- Champion the use of data and analytics to drive HR decision-making, workforce planning, and organizational insights.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all HR systems and interfaces.
- Develop and deliver dashboards, reports, and predictive analytics in partnership with HR and business leaders.
- Serve as lead architect, developer, and point of contact for the design, development, and administration of HR Technology working with HR leads to improve process, functionality, policy and procedures.
- Lead and coordinate HR technology and optimization special projects, advise on the delivery method and guide the implementation.
- Assess, develop and manage all HR Systems implementation projects.
- Ensure data integrity and develop best practices to uphold continual data accuracy and synchronization with additional Maker’s Pride systems and solutions.
- Provide data management, complex reporting and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in HR and HR technology leadership, including 5+ years managing enterprise HCM platforms (Ceridian Dayforce required).
- Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience
- Proven experience partnering with senior HR and IT leadership to deliver strategic technology solutions.
- Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships and outsourced service providers.
- Strong technical expertise in Dayforce configuration, integration, and optimization across multiple modules.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Active engagement in professional HR technology networks or associations is a plus.
- 3-5 years of hands on Dayforce specific configuration and development required
- Human Resources experience strongly preferred
- Previously led the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the HR goals and priorities of a company and its’ departments.
- Preference given to candidates with current participation in outside professional activities to maintain knowledge on developments in the field.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily done in an office setting and may be located fully remote.
- Minimal production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting or standing at a work station for extended periods of time
- Ability and willingness to travel a couple of times annually.
The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $160,266 - $240,400/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
