This role can be based in either Vanguard’s Charlotte, NC or Malvern, PA office
The Compliance Strategy & Operations (CS&O) Team is looking for a Specialist to manage the US Regulatory Change Management Process and aid CS&O with other ongoing initiatives. CS&O is on the leading edge of the changing technologies and processes within Compliance. This Specialist will be involved in the change management process for technologies across the enterprise as it connects to the Global Regulatory Change Management Function as a part of Investing in our Foundations initiative. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and team leadership skills as this role will require coordination of many internal and external stakeholders globally.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Intelligence Vendor Management
- Collaborate with regulatory intelligence vendors to onboard compliance crew and international teams.
- Ensure vendors comply with relevant US regulations and standards.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of vendor contracts, agreements, and performance metrics.
Process Leadership and Oversight (US Compliance Advisor Process Leadership and Oversight)
- Implement and oversee processes to ensure efficiency in regulatory change management through out Compliance Advisor teams and act as a facilitator in their Horizon Scanning processes.
- Aid in the facilitation of maintenance and oversight of other CS&O initiatives including planning, coordinating, and overseeing activities enabling better connectivity and efficiency of Archer system and other regulatory intelligence tools. (Created broadly to wedge in Policy, Invest in foundation etc.)
- Accountable to ensure completeness and accuracy of objectives, deliverables, and reporting for the US RCM process.
- Own monitoring of progress against established metrics to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Facilitate communication between Compliance Advisors and other teams to ensure alignment with the Global Regulatory Change Management Framework.
Internal Stakeholder Management and Communication (US GRCM Reporting)
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
- Accountable for regular updates on project status, risks, issues, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and own meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps in our Jurisdictional and Global RCM Oversight Forums.
- Ensure transparency in communication by documenting discussions and decisions made during stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years with the Archer compliance management system
- Minimum of 3-5 years Compliance/Regulatory experience
- Multi-Stakeholder project management
- Experience training staff
- Experience learning in a new environment
- Data analytics skills and usage of excel, and other analytical reporting tools
- Global project and stakeholder management
- Detail orientation
- Ability to learn and monitor legal and compliance items
- Presentation skills
- Written and Graphic communications
- Experience dealing with Director level resources and executive presentation coordination and preparation
