What is the SolarCorps Fellowship Program…
GRID Alternatives’ SolarCorps Fellowship Program is an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic community members to join GRID Alternatives for an 11-month paid service term. SolarCorps Program Operations Fellow
We are seeking a SolarCorps Program Operations Fellow to engage with the Policy & Program Administration team to help implement program management standards, methodologies, process, and tools for programs serving disadvantaged communities impacted by environmental and economic injustice. The goal of the project that the fellow will work on is to provide assistance in the implementation of the program management overview that will enable program managers to increase their level of impact in the communities GRID serves, such as increasing the number of low income families that benefit from GRID’s Programs Portfolio .
GRID aims to develop a Program Management Office in partnership with Policy & Programs leadership, and operational support areas across GRID to facilitate knowledge and establish best practices across all of the Program Administration Portfolio.
The Fellow will be trained and supervised by GRID's Program Management Office Managing Director. The Fellow will gain valuable experience in the Program and Project Management sector and develop skills in professional relationship building, facilitation, systems, processes, and content creation. These skills will be transferable within the renewable energy, education, and nonprofit industries.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay of $21.40 per hour, plus the benefits listed below. Fellows who complete 1700 hours with GRID and complete their contracted term of service will be eligible for a cash end of term award (amount to be determined).

Where you will sit & the places you may go...
This position may require 10%-25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects. Availability to work nights and weekends may be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
