About This Role

Ria Money Transfer is a dynamic and growing international money transfer company dedicated to facilitating seamless and reliable financial transactions for the diaspora in South Africa, enabling them to support their loved ones back home through our user-friendly mobile application. We are seeking a talented and proactive Mid-Level UI/UX Designer to join our Marketing Department on a freelance basis. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly contribute to the evolution of our core product by updating and refining the user flows and wireframes for our mobile application and website. The successful candidate will leverage our existing branded elements in Figma to create intuitive and engaging user experiences that drive customer acquisition and satisfaction. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on our future app design and user journey.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful UI/UX Designer will be responsible for applying their expertise and the provided branded elements to develop comprehensive Figma flows for the following key areas:

• New Customer Registrations: Designing a clear and efficient onboarding process for new users.
• Existing Customer Logins: Optimizing the login experience for returning users.
• Pre-Transaction Flows: Crafting intuitive navigation and information architecture leading up to initiating a transaction.
• Transaction Flows: Designing seamless and secure steps for completing money transfers.
• Post-Transaction Flows: Developing clear confirmation, tracking, and support processes.
• Refer a Friend: Designing an engaging and effective referral program flow.

The designer will be expected to work independently and collaboratively within the marketing team, ensuring that the designs align with business objectives and user needs.

Position Requirements

Skills Required:

• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze user needs and business requirements to develop effective and user-centered design solutions.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and present concepts effectively to stakeholders.
• Prototyping: Strong ability to create interactive prototypes in Figma to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
• Collaboration: Proven experience working collaboratively within a team environment, incorporating feedback and contributing constructively to design discussions.

Tool Experience Required

• Figma: Expert-level proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and collaborating with the team.
• Adobe Photoshop (Ps): Solid understanding and practical experience using Adobe Photoshop for image manipulation and asset preparation.
• Adobe Illustrator (Ai): Solid understanding and practical experience using Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics and icon creation.
