Job Description
This role will be based in New York City.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We are actively seeking a Business Development Manager to lead partnership initiatives within our Consumer Business Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic evaluation, definition, negotiation and execution of new partnerships and partner programs.
Your primary focus will be content partnerships with key players in the news & media space, with a specific focus on publishers but also spanning creators, podcast networks and event organizers. Your key objectives will be to lead programs & partnerships that help connect Members with high-quality news and information from trusted sources.
You’ll be tasked with leading existing partner programs focused on news publishers & video, as well as identifying and establishing new opportunities and pathways to support our mission to connect the world’s professionals.
This individual will have the opportunity to be a key member of a team that drives growth, engagement, and revenue via identifying, executing, and managing content partnerships and strategic initiatives. You should be comfortable and have experience collaborating cross-functionally to drive results, including working across Editorial, Product, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Comms, Engineering and Finance. The ideal candidate is passionate about LinkedIn’s vision, can develop a deep understanding of LinkedIn’s products and services, and is both proactive and results-oriented.
This person should have experience in building & leading end-to-end partner & program management, with experience in news/media content partnerships. Your core focus areas will include building and scaling content monetization programs and developing partnership opportunities that span formats like video, newsletters and events. A deep understanding of the news publisher landscape is a must, including digital & social content strategy as well as how news publishers partner and collaborate with social platforms to drive mutual value.
Tasks will include evaluation and execution of strategic partnership opportunities, informing content acquisition strategy, driving growth for existing publisher video initiatives, managing day-to-day relationships with partners, tracking program performance and sharing ecosystem insights to inform key decisions. An ability to understand legal contracts and negotiate deals with partners is critical, as you’ll work closely with legal to draft/finalize agreements that drive value for both our partners and LinkedIn. Strong written and verbal communication to drive alignment with key stakeholders on strategy, vision and goals is required. Must be proactive, eager to strategize & execute, able to navigate ambiguity and persistent in overcoming blockers.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $138,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
