About the Role:

As a Github Copilot Coach, you will make an impact by team coaching. You will be a valued member of the Americas Technology Modernization Consulting team and work collaboratively with the Global Consulting team.

In this role, you will:

  • Team Coaching: Provide hands-on coaching to scrum teams, facilitating continuous improvement practices to promote a culture of data-driven outcomes and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Pair Programming: Host 1:1 sessions with individuals and teams, guiding them on effective usage of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) dependent on each client team needs.
  • Tool Adoption: Drive the adoption and effective utilization of GitHub Copilot and other AI productivity tools within assigned teams.
  • Demos and Support: Create and conduct demo sessions to educate teams on tool functionalities and best practices where needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and address any issues related to tool usage, providing solutions through effective coaching and/or directing teams to appropriate training resources.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Technical Expertise: Possesses extensive knowledge and practical experience in software development with a comprehensive understanding of SDLC activities and proficiency/passionate interest in AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
  • Coaching Proficiency: Skilled in leading, influencing, and mentoring other developers effectively. Experience in pair programming is preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of facilitating productive discussions and explaining complex concepts clearly.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt coaching materials and styles to a wide variety of roles and technologies; ability to work with multiple teams concurrently.

Work Authorization:

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,450 - $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
