Job Description

JOB TITLE: Design Practice Analyst (12-Month FTC)

LOCATION: Bristol / Edinburgh / Manchester / Chester / Leeds

SALARY: £59,850 - £66,500

HOURS: Full Time

DURATION: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.

About this opportunity

Sitting in the Design delivery Practice, this role will work closely with Design teams, Key Platform roles and XD Communities of Practices.

The purpose of the team is to mature the practice of design in a regulated, corporate context. We also co-create and embed ways of ensuring experience quality. Our core goal is to create consistent and high-quality experience for our customers and colleagues.

You will be part of the Platform Alignment and Shared Method team who are here to demonstrate the value of and advocate for the business impact of design.

We’re looking for an experienced collaborator to support the development of the design method and assurance process. You will also analyse design themes and communicate effectively to the design leadership team. You’ll be an advocate of agile methodology and a confident facilitator to support alignment between Design to the Platform PCF.

An organised individual to implement controls, tools and guidance consistent with group policies and practices.

This role would suit someone with strong curiosity, a collaborative working style, and with the drive to connect the aspirations of Experience Design (XD) with how the Group operates.

As a Design Practice Analyst, it will be your role to:

  • Provide support to designers and Platform colleagues on the design definition of done process (design good practice)
  • Co-create, iterate and deploy practical, simple guidance supporting the design definition of done
  • Facilitate the migration of design work from the BMX project to Platform Jira projects
  • Conduct analysis on whether Group wide Key Results are customer centric

What you'll need

  • Strong ability to identify and make business connections between where experience quality standards are relevant and where they can bring significant value to customers, colleagues and the group
  • Detailed understanding of the Platform Change Framework
  • Good working knowledge of JIRA
  • Evidence of strong analytical ability
  • Strong inter-personal skills with experience of stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation
  • Knowledge of risk management and controls

You may also have knowledge and experience of:

  • Design practices and method
  • Experience of supporting governance or assurance models
