Job Description

You have the opportunity to become a junior Software Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace in Brno. You will work on various projects, such as aircraft control units for electro-mechanical actuator systems, fuel cells, life support systems, and environmental control systems.

You will become part of a team developing safety-critical and complex products for various types of aircraft.

In the Czech Republic, Honeywell has been building a center of excellence in Advanced Electromechanical Solutions, offering a significant opportunity to participate in cutting-edge development projects that enable career growth.

You will cooperate closely with global Honeywell resources and be involved in the complete software development life cycle, including requirements development, design, coding, integration, verification, and software certification.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Development of real-time embedded software for aircraft controllers (motor controllers, life support and environmental control systems) using C and C++ languages
• Participation in the following stages of software development: requirements definition, design, coding, testing, and documentation of the software in accordance with aerospace guidelines
• Development of supporting tools

Qualifications

Key requirements

• University degree in Engineering field with IT/programming background
• Knowledge of programming C/C++ and interest in kick off your career in embedded development
• Communicate knowledge of English language as you will be in regular communication with colleagues in the US and the UK
• Technical writing skills
• Knowledge of embedded systems design like I2C, SPI etc.
