Junior Field Service Engineer, Wellhead and Subsea Control Systems

As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will run categories of Subsea Controls Systems and equipment. Junior Field Service Engineer able to assist other FSEs in operation time. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Operation, Installation or maintenance of company and customer equipment (Wellhead Subsea Systems, Valves, Production trees, Chokes, etc.) in accordance with the company's recommended procedures, methods & guides
  • Inventory control of necessary Baker Hughes Subsea related equipment/tools.
  • Control, function test, repair work and reporting of necessary maintenance of delivered or rented equipment.
  • Performing all essential pressure testing in line with installation and maintenance.
  • Assisting during preparation of reports to customer or project.
  • Assisting in planning of shipping Baker Hughes Subsea equipment offshore.
  • Comprehensive job preplanning including all logistics, tooling, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), & technical work scopes applicable to assignments.
  • Timely completion of all post job and administrative duties including but not limited to customer and service reports, timesheets, job debriefs and tooling tracking.
  • Use of company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of materials, drawings, prior job reports etc.
  • The proactive interface between all functions of the company and Customers concerning technical, operational & EHS challenges as applicable to any assignment.
  • Safe & compliant performance of all activities in line with the company's and our customer's environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.
  • Uncompromising integrity to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and company rules and requirements.
  • Maintaining a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive & professional approach.
  • Performance of tasks within the indicated timetable in accordance with the approved work schedule per year.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineer Degree or Technical High School or Engineering Training.
  • 2-4 years related work experience either in engineering or field service.
  • Be able to communicate in English minimum on Intermediate level. Azerbaijani level: Fluent
  • Previous experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with upstream oil equipment specifications and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing in a technical environment.
  • Ability to accommodate frequent worldwide travel working varying hours in difficult working conditions on short notice.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to develop technical knowledge in self and others.
  • Good interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Strong Computer skills including operating systems and standard office software
  • Ability to obtain all required Security and Safety Clearances and Certifications.
  • Certified to work in an offshore environment.
  • Desired Knowledge of operation, installation and / or maintenance of Subsea Wellhead and Controls Systems.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong EHS & compliance attributes.
  • Document Control: Has a good understanding of and a thorough approach to organizing and maintaining document control systems.
