Position Description:

Connects data to product, program, and portfolio management at scale in order to successfully create real-time, fully informed reporting across company limits, using Jira and Jira Align. Develops leading brokerage APIs and other web-based services for various distribution channels and operations professionals using brokerage platforms. Releases code to production environment according to change management procedures. Maintains and prioritizes product backlog for each sprint and drives squad to maintain and improve velocity. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and maintains dynamic products and software solutions.
  • Defines, evaluates, and communicates results against acceptance criteria while removing impediments.
  • Drives tactical execution of strategic priorities in terms of alternate investment workflows and brokerage objectives, using secure and scalable software solutions.
  • Understands customer needs and translates strategic objectives into actions according to a data-focused approach.
  • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Identifies and prioritizes business and technical initiatives that will enhance and improve functionality and user experience.
  • Participates in client and industry meetings to understand their strategic vision and aligning to the squad, product area, and domain roadmaps.
  • Communicates results and overcomes impediments by making informed decisions.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as Director, IT Product Management (or related occupation) leading teams of full stack developers in the architecture, design, and development of applications on cloud platform, using distributed technologies, data virtualization techniques, and compute strategy for finance.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as Director, IT Product Management (or related occupation) leading teams of full stack developers in the architecture, design, and development of applications on cloud platform, using distributed technologies, data virtualization techniques, and compute strategy for finance.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) understanding and executing end-to-end workflows to meet business and technology needs; and driving automated solutions for recurring day-to-day operations and working with business to finalize requirements and drive them into squad goals using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Jenkins, ControlM, Axway and Informatica.
  • DE performing Agile health assessments of squads and product areas in trade processing and settlement product environments; and organizing and leading stake holder small room planning discussions and finalizing requirements for each quarter using Jira Align, Jira, Agility Health, digital exchange and Miro.
  • DE providing functional and technical guidance to oversee large development initiatives, including systems architecture and infrastructure, impact analysis, technical design, development, implementation, and support using Microsoft Visio, Confluence, Microsoft whiteboard, and SQL Developer; and providing technical guidance to distributed application development teams using Agile methodologies.
  • DE leading teams with onshore and offshore presence including contractors, using Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Workforce Connect; and working with third party vendors to coordinate road map deployment in different time zones, ensuring a timely high quality and delivery in support of innovative product solutions for firm wide initiatives, using Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook.
