Responsibilities

  • Daily reconciliation of internal data to participating brokers via position, trades, cash, NAV, and fees
  • Maintain relationships with brokers to fix daily breaks, while continually improving processes long term
  • Liaise with external software vendors to troubleshoot current processes and propose improvements
  • Support clearing and settlement processes for the following asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives and FX
  • Investigation of queries raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties
  • Maintain and navigate data such as security master within our systems to help minimize and investigate breaks
  • EOD trade processing and reporting of daily PnL for various markets
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement, scope requirements and assist in implementation of automation

Qualifications

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or other related fields. CFA a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in capital markets operations
  • Fundamental awareness of global markets
  • Extensive communication across trading teams and software development teams
  • Interest in post trade infrastructure
  • Desire for fast-paced environment and “to wear multiple hats”
  • High level MS Excel knowledge is a must: Comfortable with Look-ups, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Statements
  • Buy Side experience is a plus
  • Task Management via tracking software such as JIRA is a plus
