As a Technical Product Manager, you will be joining the UK Digital Services team within our Enabling Functions. Our purpose as a team is to engage with and co-create consumer-grade digital experiences for our own employees so that they feel supported and inspired by the firm. In this role you will be responsible for both translating the seed of a new ideas into minimal loveable products, as well as leading our technical teams through continuous development and evolution of existing Deloitte built technologies aligned to the strategy that you create.

You will work alongside a talented team of Business Analysts, Product Designers, Service Designers, Solution Architects, Developers and Quality Engineers to experiment, shape, build and test new products that are there to create a better experience for our 20,000+ Deloitte employees. Your approach will be agile and iterative, using Design Thinking to facilitate innovation and identify opportunities for delivery positive user experiences and measurable value for our business. Your role will require you to have strong delivery focus mindset and a passion for developing strategies based upon data. As the conduit between the technical team and our business product owners you will excel at translating complex technical concepts into plain English that even a child would understand.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a key technical trusted advisor to leadership and contributes to product visioning, setting strategic direction, feasibility, proposition development and architectural approach definition to ensure product market fit.
• Establishing, maintaining and evolving individual product roadmaps based on the detailed product analytics that we capture and the employee research we conduct around employee needs, external trends, business priorities.
• Defining and prioritising the technical requirements of our products and you will work closely with the development team to ensure that the product is being built according to the specifications and requirements you set.
• Creating and maintaining the product backlog, which includes user stories, technical tasks, and bugs.
• Leading agile ceremonies and working closely with our scrum master to manage day to day delivery across our multidisciplinary product team.
• Participating in architectural review activities and leading design reviews to ensure alignment to the architectural approach.
• Developing clear analytics requirements for each product and taking full responsibility for translating the data we capture into clear requirements for new features and associated strategies for driving user adoption and value creation.
• Working closely with our Delivery lead to anticipate and plan for resource allocation in line with the product roadmap.
• Managing stakeholders; influencing and shaping stakeholders’ objectives. Working with senior leaders to support a future vision and priorities.
• You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that the products we build meet the needs of our business product owners and end users.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

You will have practical experience of:

• Leading multiple exploration, ideation, and experimentation workshops culminating in the creation of customer journeys centered around a clear value proposition.
• Designing and building multi-channel (Native iOS, Android and web) solutions in collaboration with an engineering team within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Managing multidisciplinary product teams including UX, UI, BA, Engineering and Testing resources through a continuous delivery model.
• Designing product operating models to ensure ongoing support, maintenance and compliance with security and quality assurance standards for products outside of the development cycle.
• Developing clear delivery plans that including clear resourcing plans, budgets, OKRS in line with the product roadmap.
• Building and grooming the product backlog to ensure that the product is future proofed based upon the requirements you capture from our business product owners.

This is a critical role within the Digital Services team, and we are looking for an individual who is looking to challenge convention as well as raise the bar within the sphere of product management and agile development. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following strengths:

Technology and Digital Services

From architecture and delivery of new IT systems to IT risk and security, we manage the relationships between the business and our Technology and Digital Services teams. We also help with the delivery of day-to-day operational technology and digital support to the rest of the business.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships).
