Marketplace is a convenient destination on Facebook to discover, buy and sell items with people in your community. We are seeking a Partner Engineer to join the small and growing Marketplace Partnerships team in Singapore, which is responsible for developing and growing relationships with our partners in the commerce space to enable a variety of experiences for our community in the APAC region. The successful candidate will be in a unique position to help define and execute Facebook's strategy for the region.
Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that works with strategic partners to deeply integrate their services across the Facebook family of apps. In this unique role, you will use your excellent technical and business skills to drive value for our partners and for Facebook. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering and product skills with a passion for online commerce, ensuring integrations with our strategic partners are successful and drive impact. This position is full-time and is based in Singapore.
Deeply understand the Facebook Marketplace system architecture and underlying implementation
Be a technical expert in integrations, able to influence both internal and external teams
Manage all technical aspects of relationships with our strategic partners
Develop deep integrations and custom solutions for and with our partners
Influence the product roadmap through representation of the needs of our partner ecosystem
Collaborate closely with our Product and Engineering teams to design and launch new product features
Build technical resources and tools to scale onboarding of new partners
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20 - 30% of time
Previous experience (4+ years) as a software engineer, technical consultant or partner/sales engineer
Experience managing relationships with third party services or partners
Communication experience including communicating to technical and business audiences at all levels
