Details of the Division and Team

Technology plays a critical role in Deutsche Bank's transformation. To ensure we will deploy technology and digital solutions in a substantially more comprehensive manner across the bank, Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) has been established as one technology division for the bank, driving an integrated IT, data, and security agenda across the bank. The function is responsible for implementing the bank’s technology strategy focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within our IT estate for faster, cheaper deployment, as well as modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure with long-term investments and benefiting from cloud computing.

In Support of our local businesses, Technology Data Innovation (TDI) provides the IT operations and management including (1) Application Support; (2) Infrastructure Operations; (3) End User Support, in all local business centers across the globe. TDI reduces the complexity in support of the business.

Your Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Execution

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of onshoring projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives
  • Drive the implementation of onshoring projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Manage all phases of project management, including contract negotiation, requirements gathering (technical and non-technical), time management, and communication
  • Support the respective workstreams within the program to deliver, cooperating with various teams (e.g., AFC, Corporate Bank, Private Bank)

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Engage and manage multiple stakeholders, including business leaders, technology stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and vendors
  • Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management and steering committees
  • Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to support stakeholder communication and decision-making
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment
  • Positively influence diverse stakeholders without direct authority

Risk and Issue Management

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution
  • Monitor data management related regulatory changes and gap analysis to Deutsche Bank processes

Data and Compliance

  • Ensure onshoring projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Drive implementation of data quality control frameworks
  • Identify critical and strategic data to be brought under governance and facilitate right sourcing via strategic platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud and cyber security

Program Management and Governance

  • Support program leads in developing detailed delivery plans and execution approaches
  • Track program goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success
  • Provide effective delivery assurance by tracking milestones, spend, and benefit delivery
  • Coordinate and prepare key governance updates, including upward reporting to program operating and steering committees
  • Contribute to divisional best practices and positive team culture
  • Document progress, prepare material for stakeholder and management meetings

Your Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in project/program management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex IT projects and transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, application onshoring, and related technologies.
  • Experience in managing highly complex IT programs in different process models, including agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Experience in risk and issue management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
