Job Summary

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations), you will lead a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers responsible for enabling the seamless build, integration, and test of satellites and satellite subsystems. Your team will be accountable for delivering fully integrated, test-validated spacecraft hardware—ranging from avionics and structures to propulsion and mechanisms—ready for launch, with a focus on safety, speed, and reliability.

In this role, you will serve as both a technical leader and a team advocate, working across engineering, supply chain, test, and production to ensure execution excellence on the factory floor and in the test bay. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of satellite system integration, a passion for delivering flight hardware, and the leadership capability to drive team performance, technical rigor, and production maturity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of leadership for ATLO-focused Manufacturing Engineers
  • Own technical execution of integration and test manufacturing processes across avionics, structures, propulsion, and mechanisms
  • Act as the bridge between design engineering, integration/test, supply chain, and production to resolve hardware, build, and process issues
  • Drive continuous improvement across integration workflows, floor processes, tooling, and part kitting to reduce lead time and touch labor
  • Champion design for integration, ensuring flight hardware is delivered in a launch-ready state
  • Support build readiness reviews, test readiness reviews, and real-time issue resolution on the floor and in test bays
  • Establish, track, and improve manufacturing KPIs across safety, quality, schedule, and cost
  • Mentor and grow engineers to expand departmental capability in support of future build and launch campaigns
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for training requirements and capability expansion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 3+ years in manufacturing of spacecraft and/or subassemblies
  • 3+ years in engineering
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team of engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations to management
  • Demonstrated ability to aggregate, visualize, and analyze data to make informed decisions (i.e. SQL, Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Competent with CAD software (Solidworks/Altium preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • 5+ years in manufacturing of spacecraft and/or subassemblies
  • 5+ years in engineering
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of engineers
  • Familiarity with assembly, test, and launch operations of spacecraft
  • Demonstrated ability to scale manufacturing rate capability

Summary Pay-Range

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Level K: $138,550 - $203,750
