Description

Performs custodial duties such as cleaning classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, offices and bathrooms, and maintaining custodial equipment.

Assists in keeping school site and grounds clean and in orderly condition.

Performs other related duties as assigned. This position will start at $17.50 an hour.

Requirements

1. Possesses knowledge of methods, procedures, materials, equipment, and chemicals used in custodial duties.
2. Is able to speak basic English
3. Works safely and establishes a safe environment; reacts quickly in emergency situations to maximize human safety. Analyzes situations and takes appropriate action regarding routine/emergency procedural matters without immediate supervision.
4. Communicates effectively orally and in writing.
5. Works with students, faculty, staff, and general public in a pleasant and cooperative manner.
6. Possesses knowledge of school policies, rules, and regulations.
7. Understands and follows oral and written instructions and completes assignments in an independent manner.
8. Maintains professional confidentiality and works collaboratively with peers.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
