POSITION TITLE: Microsoft Systems Analyst

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Technology Division/Technology Support Center

STATUS: Classified - Exempt, 8 hours per day/Full Time -242 Days

POSITION SUMMARY: The Microsoft Systems Analyst position helps to enable our clients to leverage technology to increase their business results in a large Windows enterprise environment. This position helps to develop and implement successful deployment procedures, provide end user and device support, and other related duties as assigned by the Microsoft Senior Systems Engineer. This job reports to the Microsoft Senior Systems Engineer.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with configuring, maintaining, and supporting Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting skills in a large Windows enterprise environment
  • Specialty software configuration and deployment to endpoints
  • Familiarity with VMWare and Office 365 environments
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and SCCM environments
  • Printing support, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Desktop support with Windows 11 operating system
  • End-Point Security understanding and support
  • Software support for Food Production (Primero Edge)
  • Support of our specialty lab environments including but not limited to CAD and E-Sports
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills with LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field of study preferred
  • 3-5 Years’ experience working in the IT industry
  • Experience working with server technologies preferred
  • Microsoft and Apple certifications preferred
  • MCSA certification preferred (or be obtained within the first 6 months)
  • Ability to summarize complex technical issues both orally and in writing, and to justify recommendations for large scale network changes and implementations

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to review and approve testing and implementation plans for proposed solutions.
  • Ability to problem solve information technology networks, systems, and applications as it applies to projects.
  • Ability to work with systems, network, and other groups in Technology Support Services to effectively communicate changes and technical problems to get them resolved in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Windows enterprise methodologies.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related district policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of processes of varying levels of complexity, and to develop changes or alternatives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate, and to resolve conflict.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the performance of Medium work. The position involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The position is in a normal office setting with exposure to computers, with interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. The work is sedentary, although a frequent amount of reaching, walking, and standing is necessary, an occasional amount of lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, and some stooping, kneeling and/or crouching as well as a significant amount of fine finger dexterity is required in carrying out the essential duties of this position. The position is performed in generally hazard free environment and a clean atmosphere.
