Position Overview:

We are looking for an Associate Level Full Stack Developer supporting our Counterparty Program here at Freddie Mac. We are looking for motivated, skilled individuals for our Agile delivery team which will support enhancements and maintenance of applications in our counterparty space.

Your Impact

You will be part of a fast-paced team providing continuous improvements to our products supporting a wide range of internal and external clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing development tasks using Spring Boot, Angular and Java to deliver new and upgraded web-based solutions.
  • Communicating to internal team members and partners’ aspects of the implementation at the technical and/or functional level appropriate for the situation
  • Application of software development principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Understand User Stories and actively participates in grooming sessions and contribute to the assessment of story design, complexity, and effort.
  • Actively participate in key team meetings and ceremonies to manage and support planned work and team activities.
  • Support cross training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Effectively plan, manage, and deliver tasks over the course of planned sprints and increments with the ability to develop, unit test and automate test scripts effectively with high quality.
  • Participate in maintenance, deployment, and support activities to manage systems in production.
  • Comply with the department application coding standards and general industry-based practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
  • 1-3 Years work experience in software development.
  • Experience with the following programming languages: Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, Angular, Restful Services, SQL
  • Experience with front end development.
  • Experience with Databases (DB2, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
  • Good understanding of relational databases, XML, and web services.
  • Good knowledge of database concepts with working knowledge on SQL.
  • Innovative problem solver who likes to take on challenges with calculated risk to provide solutions.
  • Good understanding in Open-Source APIs like Spring, Hibernate and Persistence Framework etc.
  • Understanding of design patterns and ability to use them in real world situations.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customer and resolve production issues.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile concepts and standards.
  • Must have the ability to multitask with strong intellectual and interpersonal skills. Additionally, must have the ability to collaborate across various teams and must have strong communication skills.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $85,000 - $127,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
