Technical Project and Product Manager

HSIT is looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for managing complex research IT infrastructure, development, and data projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery within scope. Skilled in project management methodologies, documenting requirements, and coordinating team efforts. Engages in the full product lifecycle, including development, release, and post-launch evaluation, leveraging user feedback to enhance features. Experienced with both on-prem and cloud solutions, with strong analytical and communication skills.

It is critical that this person can complete documentation and project planning tasks in a timely manner, additionally has worked with Jira and Confluence.

Job Summary

Manages multiple large and more complex technical projects from idea through execution. Supervises all project parameters; documents user stories and functional requirements. Trains and assists lower-level project managers.

Essential Functions

Manages large, moderately complex IT and research data projects and/or multiple small IT and research data projects for the full project lifecycle.

Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope.

Refines and details project scope to ensure solutions are demo and release ready while meeting all documented user and functional requirements.

Follows established project management methodology and processes for each assigned project.

Documents user stories and/or functional requirements, and tracks details such as percent complete, budget and hourly approvals, benchmarks for success, and standup updates for each project using Jira.

Coordinates team members and schedules timelines, processes/workflows, and other critical factors.

Participates in product lifecycle activities including planning, development, release coordination, and post-launch evaluation.

Gathers and analyzes user feedback to inform development decisions and iterate on feature functionality.

Demonstrates and documents products developed within or outside of a formal project context.

Works independently and effectively solves problems.

Possesses good communication skills, both written and oral, is detail-oriented and organized.

Experienced in the conduct of clinical research trials and application development.

Works with systems both on-prem and cloud solutions.

Physical Effort

Light, Little physical effort. Duties are primarily Sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
