As a Sr R&D Technician, you'll have the exciting opportunity to engage with UOP Pilot plants, intricate assemblies of high-pressure equipment dedicated to conducting experiments crucial for catalyst and process development within the Refinery and Petrochemical sectors. Your role within the Support Group will entail providing invaluable assistance to these pilot plants, ensuring the generation of high-quality data for our esteemed customers. Your responsibilities will span a spectrum of tasks, from fractionating blends in distillation columns to overseeing reactor turnarounds, servicing, and calibrating pilot plant components, and meticulously preparing and delivering feedstocks. Working both autonomously and collaboratively, you'll gather, arrange, and decipher support requests with precision and efficiency, ensuring their execution to the highest standards of accuracy. You will take ownership of your work area to guarantee its safe and efficient functioning, leveraging the Honeywell Operating System to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The desired candidate will work a M-F afternoon schedule (2pm-10pm) after successfully completing training on am shift (6a-2p).

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for coordination of an assigned group of fractionation columns including:
  • Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring there is good communication with SBU customers.
  • Collecting, organizing, running and sampling feeds in the fractionation column
  • Proficient plant operating and troubleshooting skills.
  • Accountable for implementing approved plant modifications.
  • Coordinate and perform catalyst loadings and unloadings
  • Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate equipment parts
  • Cross-train in tank farm operations, including vessel preparation, transfers, and sampling
  • Embrace and uphold PSM safety processes and Honeywell Operating System (HOS) principles.
  • Exhibit strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills. Showcase mechanical aptitude and contribute positively to the work

The annual base salary range for this position is $30.04 - $37.54 per hour. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Collect and analyze data, and prepare reports summarizing the results
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions to improve processes
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support the development of new technologies
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, data, and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or pilot plant environment.
  • US.
