The Advanced Technician Production Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for formulating, filling and packaging reagent products of varied complexity according to operational plans and customer demand with minimal supervision.

This position is part of the Particle Standards Lab (PSL) located in Hialeah, FL and will be on site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the PSL team and report to the Supervisor, Particle Standard Manufacturing, responsible for ensuring that quality products are manufactured safely and delivered on time to customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform pertinent tests to determine chemical and/or physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions, utilizing spectrophotometry, electrophoresis Flow Cytometers, Particle Counters/Sizers and other laboratory techniques
  • Manufactures buffers, concentrates, and pools while performing simple calculations according to standard operating procedures/work instructions, meanwhile analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained and maintains accurate records of work performed according to GLP, GMP, and QSRs.
  • Participates on a Continuous Process Improvement Team and is a contributor to team efforts within the department. Interact with departments and colleagues within and outside of Production, including, but not limited to, QC, QA, Development, Marketing, Engineering, etc.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school degree (or equivalent degree) with 7+ years of experience
  • Experience with MS Office products, Microsoft Excel, email
  • Must be medically cleared to wear Supplied Air Respirators (SAR) and undergo annual evaluations

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Previous laboratory work experience preferred, especially in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment
  • Train and advise production personnel in manufacturing procedures for product formulations and testing
  • Participate in troubleshooting of various methods of production processes and recommend solutions or process improvements
