Position Overview
This role is for a Data Architect/Data Modeller for Group Architecture. This role will be instrumental in supporting bank wide data modeling and design policies, principles, standards, and governance. Supporting business divisions by translating business requirements to Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models align to data modeling standards.
Group Architecture partners with each division of the bank to ensure that Architecture is defined, delivered, and managed in alignment with the bank’s strategy and in accordance with the organization’s architectural standards.
Responsibilities
- Takes on the responsibility for the development, management, and lifecycle management of
- Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models conforming to modeling standards.
- Support data models governance by systematic structured review of data models.
- Understand the current data landscape, apply acquired analysis and data skills to new contexts and approaches.
- Generate charts, dashboards to present findings related to adoption of data principles, standards and patterns governed by Group Data Architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and development teams, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Skills
- Proficiency at data modeling and experience in any data modelling tool like Erwin, E/R Studio, PowerDesigner etc.
- Having hands-on experience in forward/reverse/custom engineering from data modelling perspective.
- Experience in ER (Entity Relationship) modelling as well as Dimensional Modelling (Star, Snowflake schema)
- Good to have understanding on how data is modelled in rest and in transit.
- Good to have understanding of business intelligence tools like GCP looker, Tableau etc.
- Having good understanding of financial data domain.
- Good communication skill to work with different business teams across the bank
