Excellence in news demands excellence in our customers' experiences. Our Design Team brings together teams covering Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations with a single purpose: to connect people to the news that matters most, when and where they need it, by creatively defining and building connected, innovative and sustainable experiences/products that are data informed and with a customer lens. We're a globally distributed team spearheading a digital transformation at Dow Jones.
We are looking for a Senior Principal Product Designer to work on our Design team to define and lead a design strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to drive Subscription Growth across Dow Jones' brands. While this is an individual contributor role, you will be expected to direct and mentor other product designers and lead projects across our NYC and Barcelona offices and additional staff in Mexico.
In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the future of how we design and deliver subscription experiences that delight our customers and drive business impact. You will be a part of a cross-functional team of marketers, product managers, and engineers solving our subscription growth goals. You'll be responsible for strategic influence and driving alignment across multiple teams and the execution of highly crafted system-oriented designs powering our subscription flows, from acquisition to conversion to retention.
Your prior expertise designing for Subscription based product offerings brings to the table an in-depth knowledge of proven design patterns that drive growth. You understand Pirate Metrics (AARRR: acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, and referral) and know how to design product levers that enable robust experimentation to move these metrics. As a person who loves experimentation, you have a robust understanding of data. You've worked in an environment where you've had to balance inputs from multiple stakeholders and are an expert at gaining alignment and communicating your design decisions.
The Senior Principal Product Designer, Subscriptions Growth will report to the SVP of Design, Dow Jones.
