Job Description:
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for Lab Management Senior Engineer. Based from our Luton site you will work within the Operations sector where you will be reporting to the Site Support Group Manager.
Your will be responsible for the Management of all onsite engineering and production laboratories, test facilities and equipment, calibration and management of the laboratories support staff.
What you’ll do as a Lab Management Senior Engineer
- You will facilitate the availability of all lab facilities to support the R and D and production on the site
- Health and safety within the laboratories is a primary requirement, this will involve the creation and maintenance of the laboratories safety procedures and documentations in conjunction with the SHE and OH departments
- Management of the Test Equipment Managed Services (TEMS) on site project this will incorporate the support and management of the movement of equipment from the laboratories to the calibration provider, support of the Test Equipment Coordinators within the laboratories.
- Laboratories space allocation to use the space within the laboratories to support all project requiring space, as part of this you will all facilities required to support all project within the laboratories are available.
- You will be required to support SHE/QA audits both internal and external.
- Assist the Quality Assurance department in maintaining high quality standard in all production laboratories by ensuring that there is adherence to all quality assurance policies and procedures and resolve any non-conformances in a timely manner.
- Support the Lab stewards and Test Equipment coordinators in their daily duties.
What we need from you
what you really must have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members at all levels across the site.
- A solid foundation in engineering, ideally with experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- An IOSH certification in safety is desirable, though not essential—training can be provided for the right candidate.
