ROAR First Year Advising

The Assistant Director of Operations for the ROAR First Year Advising Center is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the center by overseeing student intake processes, communications, advisor assignments, data management, and logistics. This position works closely with Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Business Office, and New Student & Family Programs to coordinate communication campaigns and onboarding-related tasks for incoming students. The position manages front-desk operations, supervises student employees, and coordinates the public availability for advisors and enrollment operations. The position works with the Director of Academic Programs Support to facilitate the institution’s waitlist process. The position also advises transfer, nontraditional, and lifelong learners, assists with credit evaluation, and works to support collaborative reenrollment efforts. This position oversees the ROAR case management process, conducts student interventions, and serves on the Admissions Appeals Committee.
The Assistant Director of Operations reports to the Director of First-Year Advising.
Required Education & Work Experience: Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in higher education or related field.
