What you’ll be doing:
You will provide assistance, organization, planning and support as needed to the Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) and other CVN volunteers and programs.
How you’ll do it:
- Maintain a workable system for registering, orienting, processing, and placing Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) volunteers; coordinate assignments, activities, and special events in cooperation with volunteer station staff.
- Maintain and update FGP volunteer files and volunteer station files; ensure all Memorandums of Understanding are current and complete all FGP Accounts Payable tasks monthly.
- Assist the Executive Director with the preparation of FGP grant proposals, required funding reports, newsletters, and fundraising activities; support volunteer recognition events and special projects.
- Conduct new volunteer trainings and monthly in-service trainings; recruit for all CVN programs, track volunteer activities, and hold quarterly meetings with volunteers.
- Support volunteer and client software systems (Assisted Rides, Volunteer Reporter, program databases), maintain supply inventory, complete mailings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: $25 - $31 / hr DOE
About you:
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and experience in independent problem solving.
- Two (2) years’ non-profit experience or experience working with volunteers.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Acrobat and Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Word and MS Excel, and database programs.
