Position Summary

The Learning and Development (L&D) Program Lead is responsible for managing, executing, and optimizing the sales and leadership focused learning program(s) within the Amwins Brokerage Division. Working within the Brokerage L&D team, this role acts as a central contact for program participants, facilitators, steering committee members, and other stakeholders (divisional leadership, branch leaders, team leaders, etc.).

The Program Lead plays the key role in designing, implementing, and overseeing these programs, including providing support and coaching to program participants and working with steering committee members to execute on ever-evolving program objectives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing our people and ensuring our programs are consistent and effective in supporting the Amwins 150-year vision.

Key Areas of Responsibility

As Program Lead, your primary focus is the developmental experience of each participant within the program(s), working directly with program steering committee members to establish and execute on current and future priorities specific to the L&D program. Responsibilities include:

Program Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement program events and/or meetings for program participants, including logistics and training materials, ensuring alignment with overall divisional and group objectives.

  • Manage planning and implementation for in person training sessions in partnership with our Events team, including invitee lists, facilitator allocation, agendas, implementation plans, communications, arranging materials, and onsite direction
  • Assist in new content design and development, including the articulation of learning objectives and building training content and materials (presentations, participant and facilitator guides, etc.)

Participant Support & Engagement: Serving as the main contact for participants, facilitators, steering committee members, and external partners (if applicable) to facilitate execution and continuous improvement of the program.

  • Manage yearly program cycles, including information sessions, new applications, onboarding and graduation processes
  • Prepare and distribute program-related materials and updates, including overviews, newsletters, and participant briefs
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance and coaching to program participants and their managers, escalating as needed

Measure Program Efficacy: Track performance metrics of participants and solicit feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for continuous improvement to the program(s). Maintain accurate records and data of all program activities, employee information, performance metrics, and training material, ensuring accessibility to relevant parties

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Five (5) years of experience in a corporate setting; preferably with experience in corporate event and educational project development/management.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging with senior leaders
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations
  • Advanced skill level with MS Office (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, OneNote, Power BI and PowerPoint) and ability to produce deliverables that carry a "stamp of excellence"
  • Experience hosting MS Teams Meetings: Roles of coordinating, moderating and facilitating a plus

Physical Demands and Work Hours

  • Light work, requiring exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently
  • May require up to 20% travel
  • 8:30-5:00pm with flexibility depending on business needs
