Middle Office

Job Description:

Jefferies has been expanding its business in Tokyo, and we are now looking for a dedicated person in middle office. Jefferies utilizes Fidessa as the front and middle office system and I-STAR as the back office system. We expect the candidate to perform booking trades, sending confirmation, daily reconciliation , exception handling for Japan equities (both onshore and offshore), international equities, fixed income (foreign bonds and JGB).

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Collaborate closely with front office and clients to ensure daily business is properly managed.
  • Allocate trades and send confirmation accurately in timely manner especially for Japan domestic clients
  • Proactive approach for efficiency and improvement for daily tasks and raise to manager and tech team to make things better
  • Manage issues and risks ensuring that all issues are escalated appropriately and handled with urgency.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a middle office role for multiple products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience working in cash equities and fixed income area is essential.
  • Preferably, experience with international equities will be highly valued.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are a must.
  • The ability to gather and compile business requirements is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English are necessary for effective communication.
