Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Contract Manager 2 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Marine Systems Business Unit (BU) as an Operating Unit (OU) Contracts Manager for the Machinery Operating Unit. The successful candidate will be a direct report to the Marine Systems BU Director of Contracts, Pricing, and Property Management and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the OU Program Managers/Directors, Business Managers, Operations Managers, Engineering Managers, and functional teams throughout the OU. The Machinery OU is a fast-paced OU with a robust backlog, focused on delivering propulsion and power generation capabilities to the United States Navy’s submarine and surface fleet.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Machinery OU contracts’ portfolio delivering successful financial performance, risk mitigation, change management, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision, management, and success of 6 contracts professionals.
As Manager, the selected candidate will also be required to provide objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines, general policies, and maintain a strong level of engagement, while dynamically leading, inspiring, motivating and developing a team of contract professionals.
Strong preference will be given to candidates willing to relocate to Sunnyvale, CA. Second preference will be afforded to candidates working on-site from one of Northrop’s West-coast-based facilities. Consideration will be giving to exceptional candidates working on-site at other Northrop locations throughout the country. In all instances, candidates will be expected to be on-site at a Northrop facility full time. If not working in Sunnyvale, the candidate will be expected to travel 25% of the time, including visits to Sunnyvale and customer locations. Relocation assistance may be available to candidates willing to relocate to Sunnyvale, CA.

Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $193,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
