Overview
Jhpiego is currently looking to recruit Senior Knowledge Management, Learning & Documentation Manager (or) Knowledge Management, Learning & Documentation Manager. The successful candidate will be based in Yangon but should be prepared for travel within Myanmar. The Sr. KMLD/KMLD Manager will be responsible to help strengthen knowledge management to ensure efficient and effective reuse of information internally and externally. The successful candidate will support the establishment of mechanisms to ensure the smooth flow and use of information across Jhpiego Myanmar projects to allow staff and stakeholders access to information that will increase quality and effectiveness of our work. He or she is responsible for providing technical support to both organizational and project communications to ensure high quality strategic communications to donors, stakeholders and beneficiaries. The major responsibilities include documenting collaborative, learning and adaptation (CLA) activities, creating good quality communications products adhering to policy and guidelines set by Jhpiego and donors and that are sensitive to the Myanmar context; documenting the process of implementation of key activities; documenting key lessons learned; preparing communications materials including success stories, promotional materials, etc.; and assisting with developing reports and presentations according to Jhpiego guidelines for internal program needs and externally for dissemination; developing, supporting and implementing projects’ program learning strategies. This position will directly report to the MEL Director.

Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and manage a Knowledge Management (KM) strategy and approach for projects and the organization.
- Identify the best dissemination channel(s) to support the reuse of information internally and externally (eg. website, online training, virtual collaborative exchanges symposiums, conferences, e-newsletters and social media).
- Identify key audiences for different types of technical information, including internal and external audiences, and target knowledge-sharing efforts to promote knowledge uptake and application.
- Support organization and project knowledge-sharing efforts by organizing and uploading resources to the team’s internal website, sending relevant resources to Jhpiego headquarters (HQ) for sharing among global program staff, and developing systems for in-country knowledge-sharing practices among program staff.
- Leverage Jhpiego’s technology platforms (such as Office 365 and DHIS2) in the appropriate context to expedite knowledge storage, retrieval and exchange.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to coordinate development of project learning priorities and dissemination plans.
- Lead documentation of CLA activities and most significant change stories
- Prepare short briefers & learning materials that capture various projects’ learning strategies and key questions to be shared with key stakeholders, donors and other external audiences in line with Jhpiego and donor policy.
- Support development of learning materials and ensure they are appropriately and effectively represented at public health events and conferences.
- Support the various projects’ learning elements core work plan and implementation
- Support the MEL team to provide framework for the end of project results reporting for the various projects
- Work collaboratively with other team members to guide the approach for collecting national, regional and global level data and conducting research.
- Design questions, conduct surveys and interviews, capture and compile photos/video, and develop script and documenting the success stories.
- Lead, organize, document and support team to manage media at public events with local media in sensitive to Myanmar context.
- Work closely with knowledge management, learning and communication staff in HQ to maintain, develop and regularly showcase of Myanmar’s presence on Jhpiego website, and other communications tools.
- Promote collaboration and synergies between core and field program learning activities
- Provide mentoring to staff using computer tools to improve results reporting.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external colleagues and among partners.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of related work experience in knowledge management, communications, documentation, dissemination, or similar work for health projects.
- Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia communication tools an advantage.
- Substantial understanding of and interest in KM theory, practice and tools, including experience in determining appropriate KM processes, products, and ICT enabled platforms.
- Excellent computer, writing, analytical, communication, and organization skills.
- Excellent oral and written command of both Myanmar and English languages.
- Participate in multiple teams, adopt team spirit, take responsibility for action items assigned and provide feedback as needed.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to facilitate knowledge-sharing meetings and activities.
- Ability to work in complex environments with multiple tasks, competing priorities, and short deadlines.
- A willingness to travel to remote areas; flexibility in accepting work assignments outside normal desk location.
- Experience working with government, NGOs, donors, and other relevant stakeholders preferred.
