In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Support Data Governance Implementation: Assist in the rollout and operationalization of data governance policies, standards, and processes across Group Operations.
- Data Quality Monitoring & Issue Management: Coordinate with federated data stewards to monitor key data quality metrics, investigate issues, and drive resolution plans with relevant stakeholders.
- Metadata & Lineage Management: Collaborate with Line Ops to maintain accurate business metadata, support data lineage documentation efforts, and ensure alignment with enterprise metadata strategy.
- Data Access Management: support data steward on the implementation of data access controls and regular data access reviews.
- Project Support & Execution: Participate in key data initiatives such as Responsible data use (RDU), data profiling, reporting transformation, or AI readiness; contribute to the development of data-driven solutions and tools (e.g., dashboards, control towers, GenAI solutions).
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Line Ops, Location Data stewards, RDU controllers and technology teams to drive consistent and effective data practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Support on data governance updates in governance forums, working groups, and senior management meetings.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for data process enhancement and support initiatives to strengthen the data management operating model in Group Ops.
- Foster Data Governance Culture: Promote data awareness, accountability, and best practices by engaging and educating stakeholders on their data responsibilities and the value of sound data management.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other quantitative / computational discipline.
- Proficiency in understanding & handling of data on highly sophisticated framework implemented using Enterprise data security framework, Collibra Metadata & Cloud components.
- Detailed knowledge on broad range of functional Operations in Consumer Banking Operations, Institutional Banking Operations & Financial Market Operations to enable engaging discussions to solve for data issues.
- Knowledge in best practices in data governance and stewardship and have experience in data management, data cataloguing and data flow mapping
- Experience in developing and implementing policies, processes, and procedures for data governance and stewardship.
- Experience in data tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Superset, Spark, SQL, python etc.
- Knowledge in data engineering processes and solutions, knowledge with ADA is preferred.
- Knowledge in data quality assurance and control preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
