About the Role

We’re building a talent development function on our People Team to support onboarding, performance, and long-term growth across our firm. This person will lead the charge in designing scalable programs that accelerate ramp time and support functional excellence for new and tenured team members.

This is a hands-on role that spans strategy and execution. You’ll partner with leaders across all teams to create high-impact onboarding, training, and development programs. You’ll also help manage and evolve our performance review process, ensuring it's tightly linked to learning, feedback, and career growth.

In addition to your core focus on training and development, you may support a small number of broader People initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver learning programs that combine live training, self-guided resources, and embedded apprenticeship to accelerate ramp and build functional fluency.
  • Own onboarding design across teams and levels, starting with week-one general onboarding and moving into role-specific training.
  • Capture and codify team knowledge to make it accessible.
  • Create growth and succession plans for high-impact roles where losing context or momentum would create risk.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Own our performance review process, ensuring it supports meaningful feedback, learning, and growth.
  • Contribute to broader People initiatives, including areas like role leveling, career pathing, and cross-functional feedback frameworks.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Enablement, or People Development, ideally in fast-paced environments (experience in private equity, consulting, or banking preferred).
  • Proven track record designing and implementing employee onboarding and training programs.
  • Ability to partner closely with a range of functional leaders and embed with teams while maintaining a systems-builder mindset.
  • Experience designing content across multiple formats and delivery styles (live, async, cohort, playbooks).
  • Clear, structured communicator with a bias for action and clarity over theory.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Bonus: experience contributing to the broader People strategy in small, high-performance orgs.

Location

  • San Francisco, hybrid work model

Compensation

  • The annual base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $230,000, taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.
