This is an exciting opportunity to join The Experiential Team for 6 months with a fast-growing creative department dedicated to promoting both the brand and different businesses within Deloitte. It’s a role for people who like solving B2B problems and challenges in creative ways. This is a role which would suit someone who is highly motivated, who is passionate about exploring new and exciting ways to tell stories and communicate (often quite complicated) information through events. We are looking for someone who has the confidence to consider the event objective and make recommendations for the most effective delivery. We need someone with exceptional stakeholder management skills and someone who can effectively manage multiple projects, budgets, internal SMEs and external suppliers. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Event Manager to join our Experiential Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of high-profile events, ensuring exceptional attendee experiences and maximum return on investment for Deloitte.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Plan and organise a diverse range of Deloitte events, from large-scale conferences to intimate client gatherings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, leading and overseeing all aspects of assigned events.
  • Manage full project lifecycles, including pre-event preparation, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead tender processes, coordinate pitch meetings, and collaborate with internal teams to review agency proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts with third-party suppliers, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance on event solutions, best practices, and industry trends.

Content & Creative Development:

  • Contribute to the design of compelling event content and the creation of innovative event concepts aligned with objectives and key messages.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal creative teams, including the in-house design and film studio, to execute event visions.

Budget Management & Risk Mitigation:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial responsibility.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the event planning and execution process.

  • Proven event management experience within a professional services environment.
  • A strong understanding of the Deloitte brand, values, and professional service offerings.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate priorities and expectations clearly and concisely.
  • A collaborative and influential approach to working with senior stakeholders, internal clients, agency teams, and cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring brand alignment and exceptional standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • An innovative and creative mindset, constantly seeking new and engaging event solutions.
  • A keen interest in virtual event technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Desirable Experience:

  • Familiarity with Deloitte platforms and Deloitte-approved third-party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of current event industry trends and innovative virtual event solutions.
