Mechanical Platform Design: Develop structural designs for automation equipment with defined performance goals while balancing performance, durability and cost within manufacturing constraints.
System-Level Integration: Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and embedded teams to ensure cohesive system behavior.
Prototyping & Validation: Translate ideas into working physical prototypes and incorporate test feedback into iterative design improvements.
Technical Documentation: Maintain clean CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials, document design rationales, tests, and design iteration history.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in mechanical design for moving systems, automation equipment, or robotics.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., OnShape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.).
Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics, tolerancing, and material selection
Hands-on approach to prototyping and assembly.
Previous experience working with mobile or motion-based mechanical systems is preferred
