Job Description

The Corporate Talent Management team of Stanley Black & Decker provides global support and strategic direction to our three main business units: Global Tools & Storage, Stanley Security Solutions and Industrial. In this position you will assist our Talent Management team and our Human Resources community members in a wide variety of hiring initiatives and program management focused on producing the positive growth of the Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program (SLP). SLP is a fast-track program that is an integrated process for accelerating the development of our future leaders. The program offers invaluable experiences for associates seeking challenging developmental opportunities to jump-start their careers.

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field with minimum of 3.0 GPS upon graduation;
  • HR Internship experience preferred;
  • Early in career, with no more than three years full time experience;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent and proven communicator – both verbally and written;
  • Excellent client service skills and the capacity to understand multiple business units/functions;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail;
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
  • Strong team orientation;
  • Ability to continuously spot problem areas, and act to improve systems and processes as appropriate;
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic, and willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding and energetic environment;
  • Ability to think/reason analytically;
  • Willing to travel approximately 25%

More About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of Talent Development, the SLP Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the overall growth strategy for the Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program. This includes assisting in full talent lifecycle activities such as partnering in campus activities, selection events, and development/LMS programs. Utilizing a shared services approach, this will include the following: assisting in designing, developing, and delivering high quality processes, tools, and systems that will assist in the overall recruiting, training and deployment needs of the organization for early in career high potential talent.
