We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Conservation Coordinator to support our mission through exceptional administrative and organizational skills. Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide direct administrative assistance to conservation staff, including senior personnel, biologists along with other critical team members.
- Perform general office duties: answering phones, managing correspondence, organizing meetings, filing, and ordering supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all communications.
Data & Records Management
- Organize and input data for conservation departments.
- File and maintain accurate records, including accreditation documentation and departmental files.
- Track and report on conservation budgets, including purchase orders and reconciliations.
Program & Proposal Coordination
- Coordinate research proposal submissions and approvals.
- Support grant-related activities: distribute materials, track budgets, and compile weekly reports.
- Assist with logistics for conservation speakers and events, both virtual and in-person.
Mission-Driven Engagement
- Respond to public inquiries via phone, email, and mail.
- Promote and embody the mission: Empowering People. Saving Wildlife.
- Integrate sustainable practices into daily tasks.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience, including senior-level support.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage data, budgets, and digital records efficiently.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience guiding interns or seasonal staff is a plus.
Professional Standards & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Annual negative TB screening required.
- Commitment to guest service and safety protocols.
