App Product Manager

Dublin, hybrid

This role is within our Experience & Engineering team in Ireland, and will be seconded to one of our clients within health services. We combine our skills in developing future-ready technical solutions with our expertise in creating beautiful designs to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients.

JOB PURPOSE

As an App Product Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with Technology Team, Product Managers, UX/UI designers, developers, data analysts, content strategists, and partner organisations to shape the future of the HSE Health App. You’ll be responsible for managing and enhancing the app experience, defining product requirements, prioritising features, and driving delivery from a business perspective from concept to release working closely with App project managers.

You’ll champion user needs, and ensure the app remains intuitive, impactful, and inclusive for the people who use it. You will also ensure that the user journey is seamless and intuitive across all HSE channels by working with your product and communications colleagues to drive a consistent experience.

This is a unique opportunity to take part in shaping the transformation of how we deliver health services in Ireland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with App Business Owners and App Programme and Product Managers to support definition of the App product roadmap
  • Working with Product and Project managers, define and maintain the product roadmap, based on user insight, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
  • Work with Product, Design, and Technology teams to define app product requirements to ensure we deliver and innovative and mobile first experience in app
  • Collaborate with other product managers (e.g. website, CRM) to ensure a joined-up digital experience that is well signposted across channels
  • Coordinate with external partners, internal HSE teams to ensure
  • Coordinate with Social media manager to drive marketing calendar of activities and collaborate with PR and other channels to ensure there is an ongoing, always-on plan of activities across external and internal communications
  • Represent HSE digital in ensuring the app user experience can deliver on the requirements and working through detailed and specific requirements and features.
  • Use data, feedback, and analytics to iterate and improve app features post-launch and feed into ongoing requirements
  • Proactively identify pain points and opportunities in the mobile experience, proposing new features or optimisations
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders across disciplines, translating technical or UX concepts into plain language.
  • Support QA, UAT, and release planning to ensure high-quality deployment of app features.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a B2C digital environment, ideally focused on apps or mobile-first platforms
  • Demonstrated experience of working in environment with large stakeholder and decision making group
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design, accessibility, and mobile UX principles
  • Demonstrated experience delivering new features as well as improving and iterating on existing ones.
  • Skilled in translating user and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments and with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills — able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • An eye for detail and quality, with the ability to balance priorities and timelines.
  • Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or public services is a plus but not essential.
