  • Salary $50,000-$55,000*

The MAT Forensic case manager is responsible for the operation of Vivitrol program at Worcester Jail and House of Correction (WHOC) for inmates releasing from custody. Additionally, the case manager will assist with coordination continuity of care for individuals participating in the MAT program. The case manager will also facilitate substance use disorder groups.

Responsibilities

  • Educate the sentenced inmate population on Vivitrol.
  • Determine eligibility and complete enrollment with interested participants.
  • Create release plans for participants to continue Vivitrol and/or MAT treatment in the community.
  • Facilitate recovery based groups.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care review meetings, case consultations and other meetings as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutes, regulations and contractual requirements related to mental health care and substance use treatment within the jail.
  • Participate in trainings of correctional officers, non-correctional staff and administration as requested/needed.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities if the Program Coordinator is off site.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1-2 years’ related experience or training in substance use treatment preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving clinically and culturally diverse populations
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to read and speak English.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
