Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have Leads the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) service line in designing and managing the full lifecycle of CIAM services, ensuring secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital identity experiences for customers and partners. Drives the CIAM roadmap in alignment with business, legal, and customer experience goals through collaboration with internal teams and external providers. The work model for the role is Hybrid #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Core IS Services. You will be mainly accountable for: • Accountable for the design, delivery, and evolution of CIAM services supporting ABB’s digital products, platforms, and customer interfaces. • Owns the CIAM service strategy, ensuring it aligns with ABB’s digital transformation goals. • Acts as a key advisor for product owners and business units on identity best practices and scalable CIAM architecture • Ensures seamless onboarding, authentication, and profile management for customers and partners across web, mobile, and other digital channels. • Works closely with marketing, sales, digital product, legal, and compliance teams to balance customer experience with regulatory requirements. • Defines and implements policies and standards for customer data protection, access controls, and consent management in line with GDPR, CCPA, and global standards. • Leads the implementation of modern identity protocols (OAuth2.0, OIDC, FIDO2), adaptive MFA, and fraud detection mechanisms. • Manages CIAM-related security incidents (e.g., compromised customer accounts) with sensitivity to brand reputation.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors or Equivalent degree in relevant field.
  • 15 years in IT or security with at least 5 in IAM/CIAM roles.
  • Holds strong customer Experience, Journey mapping, self-service design, UX integration.
  • Holds experience in Security and Privacy (Consent management, identity proofing, data protection).
  • Need to have strong team handling experience.
