The impact you will make:
Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Process Owner Network Lead to join our growing Research and Development team. We want someone who cares about this important work, and who’s driven to connect to our mission of helping these patient communities. The Manager, Process Owner Network will be responsible for building, overseeing, and coordinating a network of Process Owners across the Research and Development Organization to drive process excellence, standardization, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role ensures that business processes and SOPs are well-documented, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. He/She will collaborate with stakeholder functions to develop end-to-end process maps, robust training materials, and role-based training tools. The PON Lead will act as a facilitator, mentor, and strategist, ensuring that the Process Owner Network operates efficiently and consistently achieves the goals and objectives for the team.
What you will do:
- Define and implement a strategy for building and maintaining a Process Owner Network within the R&D organization
- Define responsibilities and develop a connected network of accountable Process Owners
- Guide and manage the Process Owner Network (PON), ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic goals of the R&D Organization.
- Collaborate with R&D functions to ensure consistency in process documentation, format, and scope across the organization
- Support process owners with the Identification and mitigation of process gaps, overlaps, and inefficiencies
- Facilitate cross functional meetings and discussions to define and map new processes and incremental process improvements using process mapping tools like Microsoft Visio or similar
- Facilitate discussions among Process Owners to share best practices and drive process improvement and innovation
- Ensure processes comply with regulatory and business requirements, working closely with QA, Training, Compliance, and GCP Document Control teams
- Support the development and rollout of robust fit-for-purpose training materials for new and updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure monitoring of process performance, collecting feedback, identifying deviations, and implementing improvements
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of people enablement initiatives, training programs, SOP adherence, and system implementations
- Oversee onboarding of new Process Owners, ensuring they understand their role and have access to necessary resources
- Define and implement training curriculum for process owners including six sigma and other process methodologies
- Enable continuous improvement by facilitating cross-functional discussions and implementing strategic process enhancements
- Develop plan for end-to-end process mapping and drives implementation and roll out
- Develop and oversee comprehensive training programs tailored to R&D staff, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational goals
What you bring:
- Bachelor's in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Operations Management, Quality Management, Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in process ownership, process improvement, or pharmaceuticals operations leadership
- Strong understanding of GxP compliance, GXP regulations, and SOP management
- Experience with process mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Experience with SOP development, implementation, and management
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate process content discussions, and drive process standardization initiatives
- Proven track record of designing and delivering training programs to diverse teams

Work Location:
Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on employee's individual preference. This role has the ability to be either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/ meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be required for certain company events commensurate to the above job description.

- The current base salary range for this position is expected to be between $106,825 and $160,237 annualized; final salary will be determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, years of relevant experience, job knowledge, skills and proficiency, degree/education, and internal comparators.
