Compensation Coordinator (Equity Services, Inc.)

Summary

The primary responsibilities for this position will include accurate and timely calculation and payment of securities commissions to Equity Services, Inc. (ESI) registered representatives. Additionally, this role will have responsibilities for reassigning client accounts when reps terminate their affiliation with the firm. Candidates in this role will work closely with product vendors, field supervisors and registered representatives to create and maintain compensation grids for processing of commissions received on the sale of securities products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prompt & accurate processing of registered representative’s securities compensation. Transactions are processed manually and via automated feeds from product vendors and data clearing houses.
  • Input and maintain rep pay grids and adjustments on the firm’s commission system
  • Prompt & efficient research of commission discrepancies noted by members of the field force
  • Entry & balancing of daily cash receipts into the firm’s General Ledger system
  • Works closely with internal & external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance with the firm’s financial records.
  • Process weekly payroll files, review & maintain rep’s direct deposit information
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment with tight business processing deadlines; effective at time management.
  • Educate members of the field force regarding firm procedures-provide training as needed on the firm’s website, forms accessibility, electronic workflow and eSignature processes.
  • Work with agency supervisors to reassign books of client accounts when advisors leave the firm. This entails reviewing for proper licensing, carrier appointments, updating our admin records and generating letters to clients and vendors.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential agent and company financial information such as payroll and agent commissions
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced level Excel skills
  • Familiarity with PCs and ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate, quality work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail
  • Must be a team player with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills-willing to teach and learn with teammates and other internal customers
  • This position currently offers an onsite hybrid work schedule, with the expectation that you are in the office three days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.
  • The base salary range for this role is between $20.19 - $37.50 hourly. We are open to varying levels of experience above the minimum requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Broker Dealer
  • Experience in Sales Compensation, Payroll, and/or Accounting
  • Experience working with Registered Reps & Advisors in a Sales Support Capacity

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.

Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
