We are currently seeking qualified internal candidates for a Director of Supervision overseeing the state of Georgia, including 70+ branches and 7 District Managers. This position is open to current supervisors ready to take the next step in their career.

The selected candidate will travel to train alongside existing state leaders before assuming full responsibility for the Georgia territory. Relocation to Georgia is required, and assistance may be provided. Please review the full job description below.

Position Overview:

Job Summary: Under minimum supervision, follows established Company policies and directives to coordinate and direct a state or territory of 40 to 80 community based branches primarily providing traditional personal installment loans through the supervision of 4-8 Supervisors. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws. Meets or exceeds objectives to maintain a profitable territory now and in the future. Become knowledgeable of the duties of the State Vice President position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the operational performance of 40 to 80 branches through the supervision of 4 - 8 Supervisors.
  • Establishes territory metrics, including growth, performance, and financial objectives; ensures continuous business development, growth and profitability
  • Recognizes business trends and exercises sound decision making and problem solving to develop and recommend business strategies that drive growth and profitability; effectively communicates accomplishments and issues to higher management
  • Takes ownership of all activities within the state; grows and improves the state’s position in the market; visits all branch locations in-person a minimum of twice annually
  • Develops and directs supervisory personnel; sets and communicates clear expectations, and holds employees accountable by utilizing continuous coaching and feedback; conducts in-person and remote written visits; empowers Supervisor to excel in their position
  • Ensures training and compliance with appropriate lending, underwriting, reporting and collection procedures, along with state and federal lending regulations to meet objectives and maintain a profitable territory now in the future
  • Works through the Supervisors to maintain high customer and employee satisfaction, accountability, and retention; facilitates the resolution of customer and employee grievances
  • Partners with the Talent Management Department to assist in selection, onboarding, and training of internal and external supervisory candidates;
  • Identifies and supports employees with the desire and ability to advance within the Company to develop deep bench strength and ensure succession planning
  • Evaluates markets for opening new branches, relocating or merge/close current branches; continually reviews locations and markets of existing branches to ensure they are best positioned for profitability; monitors and recommends closing or merging branches
  • Builds relationships and represents the Company with state and local legislatures, along with any state trade associations.

Job Requirements:

  • 7 to 10 years of successful experience in a traditional personal installment loan business or similar multi-location business
  • Embodies Executive Presence
  • Knowledge of Company operations, policies, and standards as well as state and federal lending regulations along with a general knowledge of employment laws
  • Prior customer service, sales, training, industry and management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, identify the root problem and to propose solutions.
  • Excellent communication/listening skills including strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels
  • Ability to maintain license, certification, and/or governmental approval to provide ancillary products and services, such as insurance or tax preparation, as applicable. Must maintain IRS suitability.
  • Valid driver’s license and daily access to a reliable automobile for business use
  • Ability to effectively utilize MS Office including Word and Excel

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the marketplace, technology, and new products/programs and lead team through the changes

Physical Requirements:

  • This position frequently travels.
  • This is an office position that consistently operates a computer, desktop and/or laptop, and smart phone. May occasionally operate other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • This position requires the ability to drive.
  • Requires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor degree preferred
