What We Need

BCBSMA is seeking for a qualified and highly motivated Solution Architect with ETL, Application Architecture, System Integration, Cloud Architecture, Data Architecture and Salesforce experience to join the Sales Enterprise Technology Team. The Solution Architect is responsible for Analyze/Gather/Document Business and Technical Requirements, Solution Design, Prototype, Evaluate/Select Software, Solution Delivery, and Collaborate with Development/ QA/ Project Management teams.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, collaboration, and motivational skills. The individual will work closely with following Key stakeholders: Enterprise Architecture, Data Services, Enterprise Shared Services, Enterprise Analytics, Salesforce Center of Excellence, Security, Infrastructure, Account Reporting and Sales Operations.

Your Day to Day

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to understand business requirements and design appropriate technology solutions. This includes creating high-level and detailed solution designs, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and usability.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Lead and mentor teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. Make informed decisions regarding technology selection and integration.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications. Identify potential risks, issues, and constraints, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Design integration solutions between various applications, systems, and platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across different components of the solution.
  • Enforce architectural standards, frameworks, and methodologies. Conduct regular architecture reviews to assess solution compliance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with enterprise architects to align solution architecture with the overall enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Identify potential risks and issues associated with the solution architecture and provide mitigation strategies. Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes or enhancements to the solution. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in selection of system integrator and or new software including the development of RFI/RFP.
  • Review vendor/system Integrator design options and determine option that provides the most effective/efficient solution and the best return on investment.
  • Participate in all phases of the project to verify that the design is implemented, configured, and documented correctly.
  • Lead / drive / oversee progress on all technical delivery aspects including implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions.
  • Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area. Ensure technical requirements are delivered with quality and completeness.
  • Involve in training to make sure the solution is supported and maintained appropriately after implementation is complete.
  • Lead proof of concepts, evaluate outcome and provide recommendation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduce technical debt.

We’re Looking for:

  • 8-10 years of IT experience.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or Information Technology.
  • 4+ years’ experience with Salesforce platform (process automation, workflow rules, Sharing & Securing, Reports, Dashboards, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, Data Architecture, Integration Architecture etc.)
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in enterprise-level projects.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using various technologies such as cloud computing, microservices, APIs, databases, and middleware.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Healthcare industry experience in Sales is a plus.
  • Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud Certification is a plus.
  • User experience design and usability.
  • Familiarity with data quality management concepts.

Salary Range: $143,500.00 - $184,800.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
