This position reports to

Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Manages a team of engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective, and timely engineering solutions to customers. Accountable for all project execution activities in the area of responsibility. Ensures operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, relevant standards, contract specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. Coordinates and oversees team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of Project management and Electrical engineering teams. 1. LICENSE TO OPERATE / CORE VALUES • Ensures all staff (under scope) understand ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly. • Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance. 2. Electrical engineering leadership • Oversees team’s electrical design activities with excellent quality and efficiency. • Conducts regular progress reviews and identifies and manages technical risks for the team. • Continuously seek for optimized overall technical solution offering for customers with risk and time impacts under control. Lead the regional technical solution standardization and customer influence. 3. Project management leadership • Supervises project execution and performance management through project reviews with the management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfillment. • Takes an active role in resolving escalated issues, especially those raised by the customer. • Ensures that projects consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. 4. People leadership and development • Guide and motivate team to achieve business objectives. • Talent development, conduct the competence development program within the team.

Qualifications for the role

  • Education Background
  • Bachelor or above in Electrical Engineering field
  • Working Experience
  • Over 5 years in electrical engineering and project management for MV switchgear, experienced in industry and transportation segment. With people management experience preferred.
  • Position Knowledge/Skills
  • Possess good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication/coordination skills cross function/departments in both Chinese and English
  • Personality
  • Strong Leadership capability. Ability to motivate and develop people
  • Result-orientated and very responsible
  • Strong ability to solve conflicts
