CONTEXT OF THE POSITION…

The job holder will work as Project Manager within Airbus China R&D Innovation Centre Manufacturing Innovation team in Tianjin. It’s the job holder’s responsibility to successfully coordinate and execute manufacturing innovation projects in cooperation with internal and external partners. It includes delivering products, services, and solutions in line with the respective project charter, monitoring and controlling project performance along agreed KPIs and related targets, and applying the project management knowledge areas.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• Identify, develop and realize great innovation opportunities to boost competitiveness for our industrial processes
• Follow Airbus China R&D Innovation Centre Roadmap
• Coordinate local innovation projects and provide support to all associates
• Manage requirements and check technical feasibility with solution team
• Support team activities and liaise with partners to meet requirements
• Identify relevant resources to successfully deliver projects
• Collect different requests from different stakeholders and match with solutions
• Support internal or external partners to cooperate and to deliver
• Identify customers & partners upfront to ensure projects maturity to stakeholder’s requirements, complaint to company processes and digital standards
• Guide stakeholders and work closely with them to get clear definition of requirements and support solution team to turn it into target architecture definition
• Assist to guide the projects towards industrialization or use the project to enhance further or future Airbus’ standard from local to global
• Leads the preparation, PoC and implementation of approved innovation projects into operational business by making project plans, setting project milestones and get stakeholder buy-in
• Ensures compliance to all clients requirements and provides appropriate training to clients and ensure efficient implementation of all systems
• Manage, coach and guide suppliers and visitors on site according to security & EHS rules
• Assist local innovation team to achieve buy-in from stakeholders, deliver on projects, tackle stakeholder’s challenges, support the team in managing complex customer interfaces
• Manage to proactively resolve all issues within required timeframe and recommend appropriate changes to all policies and procedures and evaluate implementation for team
• Fulfil the project transformation throughout innovation phase, PoC phase until industrialization phase
• Lead projects throughout successful PoC, co-lead the projects to achieve industrial maturity and support operational project leader until full industrial implementation
• Maintain all project plans and ensure compliance to timeframe and company policies
• Collaborate with stakeholders for all implementation processes

This role will involve some travel for business in China/Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION: Aerospace manufacturing, Industrial engineering, Automation and AI related major is preferred, Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in aircraft product design and manufacturing, and automation product development background will be given priority. Minimum 5 years’ on project management experience. Abroad experience is appreciated.

LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking

KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: English is a must. Project management, Strong skills in communication and presentation, Planning and forecasting, risk management, budgeting, tracking & monitoring, subject matter expertise, PM methodologies. Those with PMP or NPDP certificates will be given priority.

ABILITIES: Autonomy in working, pro-active attitude and have an ownership in project delivery, good analytical skills, structured way of thinking, open minded, comfortable with a diverse working environment.
