Summary of Job

This position will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) department on the

manufacturing, distribution and corporate sites including employee relations, staffing, labor laws and regulations

compliance, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Assures the HR KPI’s for the site are met and takes proper action to maintain them as required.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Is part of the site’s leadership teams and collaborates to achieve business’ goals.
  • Maintains and updates HR policies procedures and employee handbooks.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of

qualified job applicants.

  • Conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends

best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Handles employee grievances, conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of human resources experience required with at least two on a supervisory role.

Exposure to Manufacturing environment is a big plus.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
