Position Summary: Serve as the face of Human Resources for all initial concerns at the assigned plant. Ensure the accuracy of Workday data and the timely and accurate collection/ submission of weekly payroll data. Provide administrative support for the TMX initiatives. Advance special TMX projects as assigned using skills, knowledge, and abilities gained through experience and education

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR related team member questions.
  • Operate as a site level resource for Workday related items such as Time & Attendance, Benefits or Personal information changes. Ensure accurate and timely review and submission of timekeeping & payroll documents to ensure weekly team member payments.
  • Review and submit all data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and rate changes, etc, confirming accuracy.
  • Support team members through response or research of:

Payroll related items: Researches and resolves questions from Team Members as they relate to the processing of payroll information such as vacation, holiday, direct deposit, garnishments, employment verifications, workers’ compensation, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other changes.

Benefit administration: field questions and coordinate/solve issues including day-to-day administration and annual benefits enrollment process.

Policy or procedures: Provide responses or interpretation for policy questions, etc. Assist as needed with revisions or communications for policies, job descriptions, or other documentation for the TMX programs.

  • Run Daily production and direct OT reports, serve as a back-up to TMX Manager in updating reports, auditing and report generation.
  • Assist in internal and external hourly recruiting process from outreach through onboarding including scheduling interviews, pre-employment physical, etc as well as conducting new team member orientation.
  • Coordinate site initiatives and activities such as trainings, celebrations, VTO or deployment of corporate initiatives (Wellbeing, etc).
  • Assist the TMX Manager with projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 4 years previous HR education or experience.
  • Preferred 5 years’ experience in HR, Payroll or an HR degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • Trustworthy – capable of handling and maintaining highly confidential information
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Able to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with all levels in the organization
  • Knowledge of all HR “acronym” components related to employment law and relations

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
  • Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
