Advisory & Financing Solutions (A&FS) is UniCredit's center of excellence for Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory and Capital Markets transactions in top-level strategic dialogues.

Within A&FS, M&A is responsible for guidance and coordination of all M&A advisory services offering financial advice to both private and listed corporate clients on extraordinary finance transactions and identifying key opportunities to develop segment / sector specific M&A capabilities for all advisory intensive products.

What you'll be doing

  • Originating and executing M&A transactions
  • Lead the execution of all work streams required to close M&A transactions
  • Drive technical delivery excellence by overseeing financial modelling, due diligence, and transaction execution.
  • Conducting contract negotiations and concluding transactions
  • Coordinating company and market research activities
  • Steering the generation of marketing / pitch presentations
  • Respective interaction and communication with other advisors of our clients (e.g. legal, tax etc.)
  • Client management in M&A process preparations and actual execution
  • Working with UniCredit sector advisory teams and corporate coverage to originate and execute transactions.
  • Identify, develop and pitch other financial advisory opportunities (ECM, DCM, financing)

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of ten years practical M&A execution experience in an investment bank, M&A boutique, or equivalent
  • Experience in M&A sell-side/buy-side projects including overseeing drafting of info memoranda, management presentations, due diligence preparation and organization as well as Q&A management.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure, execute and successfully close related mandates.
  • Strong deal management and technical execution skills.
  • Experienced in pitching for and originating M&A mandates on the basis of precise and thoroughly investigated company and market analyses.
  • Strong deal origination, business development and client relationship skills.
  • Profound valuation expertise including comparable company and comparable transactions analyses as well as cash-flow based valuation analyses (DCF, LBO)
  • Team player who is used to work and operate within different team compositions. Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment.
  • Used to assume own responsibilities and aware of respective accountability.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment towards client and project work-imposed deadlines
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Excellent skills in the use of standard office software and data bases (e.g. Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Mergermarket) and drafting and formatting meaningful client presentations (PowerPoint) and documentations.
  • Strong oral and written skills in both German and English languages
  • The position requires the special knowledge and reliability according to 87 (2) WpHG (2. FiMANoG) and 1a and 6 WpHGMaAnzV
