Our collaborative team of corporate HR generalists is excited to welcome you as a key partner focused on employee relations coaching and consultation, multi-state compliance, and HR policy. This position will develop and support a wide variety of HR programs, HR best practices, and communications, while providing consultation and guidance to internal HR business leaders, company leaders, and our broader HR organization on unique or complex employee relations cases, disability accommodations, and other unique or specialized HR situations. In this role you will also lead multi-state HR compliance initiatives by researching and staying abreast of developing laws impacting employees and our organization and working with cross-functional HR teams to plan and implement updates to our programs, policies, and systems to ensure ongoing adherence to current and newly emerging federal, state and local laws.

Sr. HR Consultant – Employee Relations and Compliance - Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations. Partner with and provide consultation to HR business leaders, company leaders and other HR team members on complex employee relations cases, disability accommodations, complaint investigations, and other complex HR situations.
  • Compliance. Maintain a working knowledge of all governmental laws and regulations to ensure that employment actions and programs are in compliance. Facilitate planning and implementation of programs and updates within a cross functional HR team. Lead or participate in other compliance reviews and HR related initiatives in partnership with HR team members, legal, finance, and parent company representatives.
  • HR Policy. Proactively drive the development, review, update and timely implementation of the organization’s human resources related policies, procedures, and programs. Provide consultation, advice and interpretation of policies and procedures to all levels of management and HR.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR team members to develop and improve a wide variety of human resources programs and initiatives. Stay abreast of HR best practices, emerging areas of focus, and new developments in compliance and employment law impacting the current and changing needs of the organization. Incorporate these concepts into HR programs and initiatives. Partner with HR business leaders, HR operations team, and other functional areas to plan, coordinate and implement new and enhanced programs and initiatives.
  • Plan, write, and edit HR communications. Communications include employee and/or manager facing communications, HR topic guides guides, business recommendations and proposals, HR program details and supporting tools and resources.
  • Consult with HR business leaders, HR operations team members, and cross functional business partners, demonstrating excellent knowledge and providing guidance on a wide range of HR topics and programs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in employee relations and multi-state HR compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field; or equivalent work experience. HR certification is strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment law and common human resources practices/programs. Strong competency in multi-state compliance required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • A high level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and Word, with experience in MS SharePoint, Teams and other office software applications preferred.
  • Positive, can-do approach. Self-motivated to create enhancements and take initiative on next steps to foster continued improvement.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Wage: $95,000 - $110,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for annual discretionary bonus.
